Chronicle XXXIV - Birthday Month

How could I miss my birthday month's post? Gonna have to reflect about this. Anyway speaking about my birthday, my OC decided to bring me out for dinner. We went to "天天火锅" for dinner and my officers somehow managed to get me to a pub for the 1st time. And of course, for the 1st time, I played dice with a hostess and again for the 1st time drank quite a lot of alcohol. The world was spinning in my eyes and I had to muster every ounce of my concentration to walk straight. Thankfully, I managed to get home in 1 piece. When I reached my room though, it seemed as if a magnetic bed was pulling me towards it. And I ended up being attracted to it till the next afternoon. C and F continued their generous streak from last year and gave me a "Mizuno" bag and an i-pod touch for my birthday presents.

After the audit, I thought my life would change for the better. It seemed as though that recognition for my work is a compelling factor for me to continue to perform. The "Letter Of Commendation", "Outstanding Serviceman Of The Month" and currently the nomination for "RSAF Best Airman" are all adding pressure on me instead of encouragement. Initiative would be absorbed into "routine" and slowly a "given".

My driving test is on the 18th May and still my instructor is rather disapproving my driving skills. The recent lessons always has him losing his temper for some mistakes I made. For some reason tough, I feel darn confident in myself.

My part-time diploma is going rather well though. I've just completed my 1 assignment for my main module and 2 assignments for my bridging modules albeit it is a bit tiring to have to rush for lessons.

And now, with all the hype on the General Elections, it seems someone uninterested in politics like me still has to comment somewhat as I have to right (burden) to vote this year. Only recently have I started to read up on the contestants' profile for my GRC. To me, it's sincerity vs being well-established. Hard choice considering I'll have to bear the consequences for 5 years. I wonder if we'll see any changes for this election. Can't wait for polling day to know the results (and get it over with).
