Chronicle 46 - Back To School

Like I said, "How could I fail IPPT?" Whatever the freak reason was when I failed the last time round (if I even failed in the 1st place), I redeemed myself with a silver just a few days later. While it is still lamentable that I couldn't achieve gold, at least my honour is somewhat intact. Joel attempted IPPT with me and that lazy bum didn't even put in any effort!

As for my my tutoring side, I picked up 2 new students - a hardworking primary 6 boy and a cheerful primary 2 girl. Thus far, they have been rather positive and have not given me any significant problems. I seem to be getting the hang of handling the problematic kids. I am becoming a "gangster friend" to one kid and a "gangster disciplinarian" to another. Well, whatever works! With most of my students' exams round the corner, I sincerely wish that they would do well. This may sound funny but I have always had a passion for teaching, training and mentoring activities.

My degree course is starting next week. 3 modules over a span of 12 weeks is daunting just by the thought by it. I am seriously worried about my time management. Looks like my days of poking fun at the people studying their brains off are over and like some sacrifices are in order.

In my previous post, I mentioned the "Exercise Day" that was supposed to be set aside once a week? And asking how long it'll last? Turns out it ended with that post as well. These days I feel lazy to even do my daily regime. With this level of motivation, I might be in for a hard time. C's examinations are over and we should be able to enjoy another weekend together before I hit the books.
