Chronicle XXIV - Start Of Unit Life

Did I mention that unit life would be much better than trainee life in the previous post? I'll like to take back my statement. I don't want to elaborate much just that my job scope is no longer that of an Military Police but rather that of a Security Trooper instead. The lack of manpower sure is pushing us to our edge. On my 1st official duty, I had already escorted 2 guys to Detention Barracks for AWOL. Going back to Mowbray Camp sure was nostalgic. Seeing the guys having a better life than me was also frustrating.

Even with that, I should be able to bear it through my last year in National Service. The last straw was that the cookhouse do not welcome us and we have to eat packed rations throughout our stay.

Last Friday, we went to watch the movie [Ip Man The Beginning Of A Legend] at Kallang Leisure Park. As the movie ended close to midnight, I had to rush home to sleep as I had duty the next day. I am seriously against the shift work system now. It messes up your biological clock and social life.
