"Singapore our homeland, it's here that we we belong!" After the Korea trip, I can kinda identify with this song much more. Korea's food, culture and climate sure is a refreshing change and getaway, but for some reason, you're always glad to be back home(strictly excluding National Service). Some of our souvenir conquests include 2 cartons of instant noodles and a box of seaweed and Kimchi each.
Christmas! Unfortunately, I had to spend Christmas in camp. And I'll be counting down to the New Year in camp too. Some luck I have. To make matters worse, the festive season calls for extra heightened security measures to be implemented. Fortunately, there was a new batch of manpower posted in recently to help out. Recently, I'm becoming more and more disillusioned and disheartened regarding my job scope. I can't seem to pour out the dedication anymore. Recently, I've also been made the Assistant Platoon Sergeant.
National Service aside, I went for a movie [Skyline] with F and C at the start of the month. To think that they would pull off a "Godzilla" cliffhanger. It made me rather disappointed. That would be the last movie we 3 would watch together for a period of time. Currently, C is on a "Home Run" to Hong Kong and China. It seems he won't be back anytime soon until his University term starts. F recently went for a Batam trip I originally planned for but couldn't make it as my leave was not approved.
I went to apply for my Final Theory Test again as I missed it during November. I also had my Provisional Driving License applied today. A friend of mine introduced his instructor to me and I'm gonna be taking practical lessons next week.
