Chronicle XXVIII - Fresh Blood

Heightened security measures always sound better and safer to the public. However, to the personnel doing the guard duties, it means more duties and lesser rest. I'm glad we managed to pull through the exercise. I personally slept 4 hours for a period of 3 days.

One fine day, I saw 2 tonners coming into our base. Upon looking closely, I realized they were filled to the brim with MPs. MP Raid! I ended up as their escort as they proceeded to raid the respective units. Being a MP in my camp and being a MP under MP command sure is different. We look like mice compared to them.

After a long wait, the new batch of men and commanders have finally been posted in to the shifts. Kinda tempted to throw everything at them and take a few steps down just as my seniors had done. It's hard to go against my own conscience though. I didn't know I had that much sense of responsibility, ha! Now, I just keep looking forward to my overseas leave to Korea to keep me going. With things as they are now in my shift, without something to look forward to, I would have gone crazy a long time ago.

Yesterday, F and I(me) went for the movie [The Incite Mill]. I can't really understand why F seemed to be all praise for that movie. It's just above average in my opinion. The plot of giant corporations gathering people for some hidden agenda is rather common.
